Happy Christening Day

Have you recently given birth to a child?

Warmest congratulations and all of Gods blessings on this wonderful event.
A child brings much joy but also much responsibility to bring them up with the best guidance and advantages possible.

In the church of Scotland we follow the practice of infant baptism where we are able to baptise babies and young children into the church on their behalf rather than waiting until they are adults and are able to make their own decision to join the church.

We do this to emphasise Gods love starts before we are even born and that we lovingly accept and welcome people of all ages into our community. The symbolic sprinkling of water is a a reminder to us of Gods purification and love for us.

In addition to child baptisms its also possible to be baptised into the church as an adult.
