Tukido is a dynamic Martial Art which has promoted health & fitness and sportsmanship for over 30 years. It was founded in Scotland in by Hock Aun Teh, a native of Malaysia, who developed Tukido from his own years of experiences in various Martial Arts styles, including Karate, Kung Fu and, more predominantly, Taekwondo. Grandmaster Teh moved to Scotland in the early 1970’s to study at the Glasgow School of Art and is now a renowned artist.
A typical Tukido training session focuses on improving your stamina, strength, flexibility and co-ordination, giving you a full body workout. You do not have to be fit to join, but your fitness will definitely improve with regular classes.
You are more than welcome to come along and try out a class or two free and with no obligation to join. As well as here in the church hall, there are clubs in Motherwell, Irvine, Bellahouston and Kirkintilloch. For more information on Tukido, please visit the website at www.tukido.com.

Saffronhall Art Club
Saffronhall Art Club is a fun place to be if you are interested in drawing or painting. It offers a very friendly atmosphere as well as a safe working environment. With tuition from Jason Campbell BA(HONS) Fine Art, beginners as well as more experienced artists, can explore and develop their skills using different mediums, styles and techniques. The club holds exhibitions which have proved to be very popular with art lovers in Hamilton and surrounding areas. It is a very sociable club where members enjoy outings to art galleries and festivals to view art from the wider world and gain inspiration for their own work. Many people, although having an interest in art, have never plucked up the courage to join a group but once they give it a go they are surprised at their success. It has often been said that being a member of a club has given people a new lease of life and a set of like minded friends. Membership is open to all. Why not come along and join us? We meet in the church hall on Thursdays throughout the year, 10am – 12 noon or 1.30 – 3.30 pmFor further information call Sadie on 01698 881788 or Wilma on 01698 884420
